Boston’s Hidden Restaurants Gives Us Great Reviews

Boston’s Hidden Restaurants mentioned our delicious panetteria! As you walk along the the alleyway off Hanover Street, you’ll smell the aroma of freshly baked bread and as you peek through the window you’ll see our friendly staff waiting to take your order.

Hidden Boston says:

The entrance to the bakery is enticing, with a simple sign above the doorway of the old brick structure, a listing of the breads currently offered, and a stairway leading down and out of sight, all of which give a bit of a sense of an adventure, especially considering how out of the way it feels even though Hanover Street is only steps away.

While our alley is indeed hidden, our bread isn’t difficult to miss! Even outside you can smell the fresh rising dough just waiting to be eaten. We have every type of bread imaginable, from ciabatta to sunflower.

Other types of bread we provide include:

  • Italian baguettes
  • French baguettes
  • Ciabatta with olives
  • Miche
  • Raisin bread
  • Sunflower bread
  • Focaccia bread

Our focaccia bread uses extra yeast which absorbs the olive oil and salt, giving off a truly remarkable flavor. With our old-world feel and staff dedicated to providing scrumptious bread in the North End, we have been recognized as the best Italian bakery in Boston’s North End. Now, with the cold weather right around the corner, it’s time to keep warm with our bread straight from the oven.
